Market Analysis 2015-2020: PEIs Sector Development Part 2 of 2

Part 2 of this two-part series on the Market Analysis of Singapore's PEI Sector (2015-2020) discusses the overall trends of PEIs EduTrust certifications from 2015 to 2020.

Overall, from 2015-2019, with the exception of 2020, there is a downward trend towards the number of EduTrust Provisional certifications awarded. This trend corresponds with an upward trend in the number of EduTrust (4 years) certifications awarded. This can be seen as an indicator of not only PEIs upgrading but the quality of education improving over the years.

*note: The increased number of PEIs with EduTrust Provisional Certifications in 2020 is due to PEIs adjusting to changing regulations in 2019. It is also to note that there were more schools attaining EduTrust certifications that year, namely the basic level, EduTrust Provisional.

EduValue Global is closely monitoring the long-term effects of COVID-19 on the PEIs Sector.
